Vineyard in the Tuscan Hills

Introducing my latest watercolor painting: Vineyard in the Tuscan Hills. These days I look forward to painting vineyards. I really hope I can visit Tuscany (and Provence) one day. If painting a place from there makes my heart soar, just think what going there will be like! I can't wait!

Flower Farm in Gilroy

Hot off the press! I just finished this painting last night. I took the photo while on a road trip to Los Angeles with my daughter, Katherine, this summer. I was snapping photos along the way when to my great and delighted surprise I saw this flower/seed farm at the 101 and 152 junction in Gilroy, California. Then I looked to my right and saw a sunflower farm! I've already drawn that one out on paper and I'm ready to paint it today. Both of these paintings will be ready to show for my artist's reception at Gallery Saratoga on Dec 12th. Come on by!

From A to Z: Rancho San Antonio Park

This painting is one of my personal favorites since this is one of my favorite parks to walk in. We went on many field trips here to see their working farm called Deer Hollow Farm. Docent tours also offered talks to my school age children on the life of the American Indians that originally lived in the area.
A good healthy walk or bike ride through the oak woods and open hills to the top of the hill will rewards you with a panoramic view of the entire San Fransisco Bay Area. I suggest you make it a point to visit this park at least once in your life.
