Ukranian Egg Decoration Festival

Last Sunday a group of us painted Ukranian Egg Decorations. What fun it was to paint with four of my favorite ladies (my three daughters and my wonderful sister in law). This was the first time for Bethany, Aletheia, Katherine and me so Corinne did an excellent demonstration for us with the kistkas, dyes, pattern books, candles and bees wax. My thanks to Dave for taking the great pictures. I found a series of good you tube demos of the process and included them on my next post. You may just find a brand new art form you'll love!

Painting with a Friend

Yesterday I painted for 6 hours straight with someone who was so eager to learn. Gabby and I painted while my son David played the piano for our background music. What a special day it was! Thank you Gabby and David! You are the best!

Welcome to Melbourne: Day 1

On the first day we came we had a lovely welcome from our wonderful family down under.
Bethany and Uncle Michael kicked the soccer ball around on the field right across the street from their home. Joshua is a constant companion-- filling in for his cousins Caspian and Cozette back home. We also got to visit Reservoir Secondary College where Michael teaches.
