Churchill Isand-- Day 7

I love farms and farm animals! Rich, do you think we can retire on a very small farm? I loved visiting Churchill Island, a historical settlement by one of the first governors in the area.

Phillip Island-- Day 6

The Penguin Parade!! I was here 17 years ago with my two older girls, Aletheia and Katherine, and was glad to show Bethany the penguins waddling in from the ocean. This time there were no cameras allowed at all past the visitor center, so I took photos inside and drew a sketch of the area while sitting on the bleachers. This has to be one of the most strikingly beautiful places on the earth, the kind all set up for a painting. Too bad there was no photography, but the penguins are upset by flash photography they say. What a memorable time we all had.

The Nobbies on Phillip Island-- Day 6

Here's a beautiful place called "the nobbies" on the coast of Phillip Island.

In the City of Melbourne: Day 2

We took a tour of Melbourne on this day. What a beautiful international city on the Yarra River and Port Phillip Bay. It is the capitol of the state of Victoria and I've included a photo of their Parliament building. In the center of the city is the National Victoria Art Gallery. Floor one houses the art of the indigenous people of the area. Floor two has art from the 19th and 20th centuries. Floor three has art from select year 12 art students. I was so moved and inspired by all of the gorgeous artwork.
